The World of Roz Savage
Ocean rowing might not be your dream life, but for Roz Savage, it’s her daily life these days. Let me get on to the reason I’m writing this.
- Last night, I had a dream. A dream that Roz got to Hawaii. Those not following Roz don’t realize what this means. Let me clarify, she is rowing across the Pacific. Getting to Hawaii means the completion of the first leg of the journey. Oddly enough, Leo was rowing (in the dream) an identical boat (no, he wasn’t doing TWiT Live), and the two met in the last 500 ft. of the first leg. They had something looking like the Golden Gate, only much closer to the water. And yes, there were people waiting on the bridge contraption. Lots of decorations—everywhere. A big party, indeed. Just to clarify again, Leo is not rowing to Hawaii, it was only a dream.
- I’ll give you a better reason. Roz is doing something amazing. Rowing the Pacific for the benefit of the enviroment. That is something truly amazing.
I discovered Roz through, you guessed it, Leo Laporte. Leo and Roz are doing a netcast called Roz Rows the Pacific, or for short, Roz Rows. It’s a great three-a-week show when Roz gets on her satellite phone and talks to Leo for about 25 minutes. It’s a must-listen for anyone—TWiT addict or just someone who wants something to do. You can find it at twit.tv/roz.
